Dos And Don'ts For Holidaymakers In China

Holidaymakers heading to China are advised to read the list of dos and don'ts issued by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO).

The list includes importance steps to take when preparing for a holiday in China as well as rules to follow when in the country.

The main points in terms of preparation are general for any country; take sufficient funds to cover your trip and emergencies and ensure that you have sufficient, valid travel insurance.

Most of the following points are specific to holidays in China and are based on actual issues dealt with by the consular staff in China. Some issues relate specifically to business visits and teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL) but, since the distinction is not always clear cut with travel these days, these are as well covered here too.
