If you intend carrying any of the following into China then you should go through the Red Channel and declare these to Chinese Customs on arrival:
1. Personal items valued over 2000 RMB that you intend leaving in China.
2. more than 1500 ml of alcoholic drinks (containing more than 12 PER CENT by volume)
3. more than 400 cigarettes, 100 cigars or 500 g of tobacco
4. more than 20 000 RMB cash, or more than 5 000 USD cash equivalent in other currencies
5. Animals and plants, animal and plant products, microbes, biological products, human tissues, blood and blood products
6. Radio transmitters, radio receivers, communication security equipments
7. Other articles which are prohibited or restricted from being brought into the territory in accordance with the law of the People's Republic of China
8. Goods of commercial value, samples, advertisements
9. Unaccompanied baggage
